  • About The Role

  • Checkatrade’s mission is to be the trusted foundation of every home by connecting people with the trades and tools to make home improvements easy. To accelerate our growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly dynamic CRM Specialist to join our team.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class execution while bringing creativity and innovation to our CRM communications. If you’re an analytical, detail-oriented CRM expert with hands-on experience in executing multi-channel CRM campaigns, we’d love to hear from you!

As a CRM Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of email, push notification, and SMS campaigns, ensuring that they are delivered on time, on brand, and optimised for performance. You will work with Braze to execute campaigns and manage customer touchpoints.

This role requires a blend of creativity and technical ability — you’ll need to be comfortable using email-building tools like Taxi for Email, have basic HTML skills for minor edits, and strong copywriting abilities to create engaging customer communications. Additionally, you will be responsible for segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis to continuously improve campaign results.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Build and deploy CRM campaigns following briefs from multiple stakeholders across the business, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
    • Be an expert in Braze to set up, automate, and optimise CRM journeys.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or rendering issues before launch.
    • Write clear, engaging, and customer-focused content for emails, push notifications, and SMS, ensuring brand tone of voice is consistent across all CRM communications.
    • Ensure all communications are accurate, properly segmented, and adhere to best practices.
    • Work closely with creative team, creating clear and concise design briefs to bring emails to life.
    • Use Taxi for Email to create and edit responsive email templates.
    • Use dynamic content and personalisation strategies to deliver highly relevant and engaging messages.
    • Manage the CRM tactical and reactive send calendar, supporting the wider business with reaching targets.
    • Support CRM strategy development by bringing new ideas, best practices, and industry trends to the team.
    • Report on CRM performance and share analytics and insights with stakeholders.
    Role Requirements:

    • Hands-on CRM experience in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with Braze or similar CRM tools (Salesforce, Optimove, Adobe etc).
    • Strong understanding of CRM best practices, segmentation, and personalisation.
    • Experience using Taxi for Email or similar email-building platforms.
    • Basic HTML skills to make small edits to email templates.
    • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills – able to craft engaging and effective messaging.
    • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to CRM campaign optimisation.
    • Experience working in a B2B environment is preferable but not essential.
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
    • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who is comfortable managing multiple different projects simultaneously.
    What’s in it for you?
    •  The chance to make a real impact in a brand-new role within Checkatrade.
    • Join a fast-moving scale-up business with ambitious goals and committed investors.
    • Competitive salary which includes discounts from a wide range of retailers, a healthcare cash plan, and a scheme to help you buy the latest bikes or tech gadgets (plus much more!).
    • Hybrid working 4 days in the office

We are an equal opportunities employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
