Where do you fit in?
Fancy revolutionising the technical landscape at Checkatrade? We are on the search for a Principal Engineer to lead innovation across our teams. You’ll be at the forefront, identifying and championing technical initiatives, reporting directly in to the Senior Engineering Manager. With your expertise, you’ll define the roadmap, guiding engineers from different departments, and shape the future of our strategy with a forward-looking vision. As a vital member of our Engineering Leadership team, you’ll drive continuous improvement, setting and refining best practices with your influence extending beyond your domain as you mentor and inspire other engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing. What do you need to succeed?
- Extensive experience in building large scale distributed systems
- Experience ideally within CRM, CMS, ad tech, or communications tech
- Proven track record in designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining high-performance payment processing systems
- Extensive experience with the PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express, React, and Node.js.)
- Great knowledge of industry best practices for secure transaction processing and the implementation of these standards
