To accelerate our growth, we have a newly created opportunity for an AI and Automation Operations Manager. You’ll lead the charge in deploying AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and automation tools to transform our customer service and back-office administration processes. Your mission is to streamline operations and drive measurable improvements in operational efficiency, increase team throughput, and foster innovation by creatively integrating diverse systems and tools. This role demands a curious, creative problem solver with a knack for experimenting with new technologies and integrating them into current systems and workflows. While coding skills are not required, expertise in prompt engineering and a talent for combining various tools into ingenious solutions are essential. Location: Kings Cross, London. Hybrid working applies. 4 days in the office minimum.
Where do you fit in?
Reporting to the Marketplace Director, you’ll Identify opportunities to integrate AI, LLMs, and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and productivity, reducing cost and throughput of our operation. You’ll develop a roadmap for deploying innovative AI-driven solutions tailored to business needs. You’ll design and implement workflows that creatively combine multiple systems and tools for optimal results. You’ll pilot new AI and automation technologies, assessing their potential impact on business operations. You’ll be the go to person for tracking the performance of deployed solutions, ensuring they meet defined objectives. What do you need to succeed?
- Degree qualified in Business/Economics, STEM or similar.
- Proven operational and analytical experience in sales and support systems focused roles within a marketplace business, big tech, or top-tier consulting firm.
- Strong understanding of AI, LLMs, and automation tools (e.g., RPA, Zapier, GPT-based systems).
- Expertise in prompt engineering to maximize the utility of AI models.
- Proven ability to creatively combine multiple tools and technologies to solve operational challenges.
- Experience in streamlining customer service or back-office processes.
- A passion for experimenting with new technologies and a knack for finding innovative solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering practical outcomes.
