Head of Sales - Media
As Checkatrade expands its media business, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Media Sales to bring new advertising solutions to market and optimise sales performance. In this role you'll be responsible for designing our commercial strategy and scaling our sales team responsible for driving revenue across print directories, sponsored listings, and new digital ad products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media sales, excellent leadership skills, and experience driving performance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Sound good?
Location: Kings Cross, London. Hybrid working applies. 4 days in the office minimum.
Where do you fit in?
- Sales leadership- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Team management - Lead a team of sales managers and agents to consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets for print directories, sponsored listings, and new digital ad products, ensuring consistent growth.
- GTM strategy - Develop sales pitches, collateral, and sales playbooks to ensure new product adoption.
- Sales operations - Define and implement scalable sales processes, tools, and training to maximise the productivity of the sales team.
- Customer relationship management - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners while acting as the voice of the customer with internal teams to shape product development.
- Reporting and analysis - Monitor and analyse key sales metrics, ensuring the sales team’s performance is regularly reviewed and optimised.

- Proven experience in media sales or digital advertising sales, with strong experience in a leadership role.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build, manage, and scale high-performing sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with broader business objectives.
- Expertise in selling digital and print advertising solutions, with a deep understanding of the media landscape and customer needs.
