    About Checkatrade

Checkatrade is on an exciting journey, and technology and AI are at the heart of our transformation. We are not just evolving our platform; we are revolutionising an industry. To support this growth, we are looking for a Senior People Partner who will play a pivotal role in shaping our Tech function’s people strategy, ensuring we attract, engage, and develop the best talent.

This is not just a traditional HR role—it is an opportunity to be at the centre of business decisions that drive real impact. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, is naturally curious, and embraces AI and innovation to enhance both business success and the employee experience.

    The Role

As Senior People Partner (Tech), you will work closely with our CTO, Gorden, and partner with our Tech leadership team to create and deliver people initiatives that empower teams, foster a high-performance culture, and fuel innovation. You will be a strategic advisor, working autonomously to drive meaningful change while staying hands-on in execution.

You will report into the Head of People Strategy and collaborate with our wider People team across Talent, Reward, and People Operations, ensuring our people-first culture evolves at the pace of our ambitious goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with Tech leadership to deliver impactful people strategies that support our business goals.

    • Act as a trusted advisor, coaching leaders and supporting change management initiatives.

    • Drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous development.

    • Use data-driven insights to identify trends and shape people initiatives.

    • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development.

    • Provide expert guidance on talent management, engagement, and organisational design.

    • Champion an inclusive and engaging culture, ensuring alignment with company values.

    • Anticipate and adapt to change, bringing fresh thinking and creative solutions in a dynamic environment.

    What We Are Looking For

    • 5+ years of People Partnering experience, with at least 1 year supporting Tech functions.

    • Curiosity and a growth mindset—you love to learn, ask questions, and challenge the status quo.

    • Strong autonomy—you take initiative and drive results independently.

    • Deep expertise in people practices, employment law, and HR strategy.

    • Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders.

    • Analytical mindset—comfortable using data to drive decisions.

    • A proactive, solution-focused approach to tackling people challenges.

    • Passion for building an inclusive, high-performance culture.

    • Comfort in a fast-moving environment—able to adapt and thrive amid change.

    Why Join Us?

    • Impact – Shape the people strategy for a high-growth, tech-driven business.

    • Autonomy – The freedom to own your work and drive meaningful change.

    • Collaboration – Work with a team that values innovation and ambition.

    • Growth – Develop your expertise in a fast-paced, forward-thinking company.

If you are ready to be at the heart of a business embracing AI and tech to transform an industry, we would love to hear from you.
