Senior Engineer (Trade Profile)
We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Trade Profile team and help shape a key part of our platform’s future. This is a new team responsible for building and maintaining the Trade Profile experience across our apps and web, as well as the backend services that power it. You’ll work in a fast-paced marketplace environment, contributing to scalable solutions that support millions of users. Location: London, Kings Cross or Lakeside, Portsmouth. Hybrid working.
Where do you fit in?
Join our Trade Alliance team as a Senior Engineer and play a key role in shaping the tools and services that help trades manage their businesses, products and profiles on our marketplace. This role focuses on creating intuitive, self-service solutions to empower our trade clients and enhance their engagement with our platform. You’ll collaborate with teams like Matching and Consumer to deliver impactful features and occasionally work with our platform team to support shared goals. We’re looking for someone with experience in building scalable systems, ideally in larger enterprises of scale ups, who thrives in a fast-paced, API driven environment.

What do you need to succeed?
- Experience within a Senior/Lead role where you can bring hands-on leadership experience
- Full stack with extensive within the PERN stack and a polygot approach to technology
- Knowledge of React Native, Kotlin and Swift is a nice to have.
- Strong ability to break complex requirements into component parts and develop a clear technical vision
- Experience working in a two-sided marketplace, scale-ups or big tech environments, ideally working with API driven microservices architecture
Interview process:
Our interview process consists of three stages: an initial conversation with the hiring manager, followed by a second stage (written documentation), with a final conversation with a Product stakeholder.
