Senior Graphic Designer

We have an amazing opportunity for an in-house Senior Graphic Designer to join our team. You'll be responsible for leading the vision and direction of Checkatrade's creative output in a multichannel environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in updating the brand and supporting the business to maintain focus on our brand identity. Are you motivated and passionate about brand design? Location: King's Cross, London. Hybrid working applies with 3 days in the office minimum.
Where do you fit in?
Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, you'll sit within our brand team alongside campaign, content, social, product marketing and UX and UI teams. You’ll be shaping the design strategy and evolving the brand identity. You'll have a strong focus on the implementation of projects, tools, and assets across business teams. As an experienced Senior Brand Design Lead, you’ll play a key role in the design vision by contributing to a brand and design narrative and proposing design solutions. You’ll act as an in-house agency to reduce dependency on external agencies and specialists for blog, social, digital, print and marketing owned website pages. You’ll partner and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. product, UX/UI, marketing) to align and generate business impact translating goals into design that helps users with frictionless experiences. You’ll effectively present to stakeholders a creative narrative, guiding them through the approval process to delivery of assets, demonstrating the value of the design solution. You’ll always be customer obsessed and use your skills to take our brand to the next level. Do you have the drive to want to enhance our brand presence? If so, this is the role for you!

What do you need to succeed?
- Previous experience as a Senior Brand Design Lead in a fast-paced growth minded digital business.
- Delivered design strategy and implementation of assets transforming a brand identity through your work.
- Proven experience navigating complexity and can prioritise work across multiple teams.
- Able to demonstrate the skills to define, design, and create design-focused solutions, such as guidelines, frameworks and patterns that help design solutions scale, ensure quality, and deliver information for specific user needs.
- Proactively leads projects taking accountability, not just the design, but the project to ensure best in class outcomes.
- Digital first mindset, graphical background with videography and photography.
- Worked with marketing teams and are accustomed to building ideas, assets, running photoshoots and video editing across social media, apps, website, blog, print and video.
- Have experience in, content design, graphic design, iconography, photography, video editing, HTML, business report design, directories and social media design and formatting.
