Principal Product Manager – MarTech

We have an exciting newly created opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to set up our MarTech product function. Your key role will be to define our MarTech strategy, focusing on User Acquisition and Customer Retention best practices and technologies, CRM, and data science models to enable growth. Optimising the use of best-in-class tools and platforms for our internal teams is pivotal to deliver on our growth plan. You’ll lead the way! You’ll join us at an exciting time with top-leadership team on board and an ambitious five-year plan that will see us growing ten-fold. Location: London or Portsmouth. Hybrid working applies. 3 days minimum in the office.

Where do you fit in?

To drive this, we are building a marketplace that will change the face of home improvements forever. We’ve invested in Braze, Google Analytics. Your role will be to ensure our tooling and stack supports the creation of highly personalised and relevant content for Checkatrade customers with clear attribution modelling. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership to oversee the management of vendor relationships and marketing technology stacks.  Your role will be to build a platform that powers all digital marketing channels including landing pages, app, email, push, SMS, and digital advertising. You’ll ensure we capture the opportunities across machine learning and data pipelines to feed into the management and optimisation of these channels. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires someone with both strategic, commercial and technical acumen. Could that be you?

What do you need to succeed?

  • You’ll be an experienced Product Leader with expertise in driving the adaptation and development of MarTech capabilities. Your background will be in a fast growth Marketplace/ big tech set up with AdTech / CRM focus.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines including analytics, creative, technical and operations.
  • You love data and insights and are skilled in using these to drive marketing recommendations.
  • You’ll have considerable experience in user acquisition/retention marketing technologies, including CRM, tracking and attribution tools. These could include for example Braze, Google Analytics, HubSpot.
  • You’ll be fast paced, resilient and have the ability to simplify the complex.
