We have an amazing opportunity for an Engineering Manager to own and oversee the technology, architecture, product set, and a strategic roadmap of a key division within Checkatrade. You will be part of the Homeowner Pillar, which is responsible for the Checkatrade.com website that millions of customers use to find their tradespeople. 

Where do you fit in?

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the delivery of highly skilled engineering teams. As the engineering manager, you will be coaching your team to success driving day to day activities and planning for the long-term initiatives in the business. You need to have a proven track record of leading successful teams and understanding the importance of data driven performance coaching.  As a modern marketplace business on a journey from good to great, this is a fantastic time to join us. What do you need to succeed? 

  • Previous experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Team Lead role along with a successful track record of leading high performing, delivery focused agile team.
  • Data driven performance monitoring and coaching.
  • Prior experience in an Engineering role.
  • Google cloud experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Inspiring leadership and communication style that will engage, retain, and excite your teams.
