We are looking for ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified / part qualified Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance function. This is an exciting, business facing opportunity requiring interaction with all areas of the business and key senior employees. You will support the Commercial Finance Managers in analysing business performance and recognising new opportunities, establishing the winning ideas and providing focus to the business. Checkatrade has significant growth ambitions, and this role will be central to selecting and prioritising those initiatives to deliver on our short and long-term goals. Sound good? Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire. Hybrid working applies, ideally 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
Where do you fit in?
As a membership organisation with circa 47,000 trade members, our Finance team are pivotal to our success as a growing scale up. Reporting to our Head of Commercial Finance, you will form part of a team of 6 (4 Commercial Finance Managers and 1 Finance Analyst) which has gone from strength to strength. We are looking for a Commercial Analyst professional to work closely with marketing and operations teams, but also product, growth and change functions. You will have sound commercial insight that balances short term department results against long term, cross department goals. You’ll be highly visible to your key stakeholders and will undertake a data and insights driven approach. If you are ambitious, proactive, driven and have experience manipulating data, then this is the role for you!

What do you need to succeed?
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified / part qualified with previous experience in a similar role.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and thirst for data.
- Advanced financial modelling skills and considerable technical experience across Excel and PowerBI or similar would be a bonus!
- Excellent people skills – confident and credible with a consultative and collaborative approach that engages teams and leaders alike.
- Experience with general accounting practices.
- Big four / Big ten experience would be ideal!
