We are excited to announce a rare and exciting opportunity for a People Business Partner to join our growing People team. You’ll be a true HR generalist  with a  consultative approach that will see you provide management with pragmatic, commercial and strategic HR support. You’ll cover development and delivery of all people activities, including resourcing, talent management, organisational design and development, employee relations, change management and cultural transformation. Location: Portsmouth, hybrid working applies with minimum of 2 days in the office required.

Where do you fit in? 

This is a highly visible and influential role at Checkatrade where you will work collaborative with leadership to align business objectives and people agenda. You’ll report to and assist the Senior People Manager and Chief People Officer in identifying and eliminating employee associated business risks. You’ll  provide trusted strategic and day to day leadership to drive function and business wide people plans. Your particular focus will be to drive change management, organisational design, employee engagement and talent analytics. Like any People Business Partner role your key stakeholders will be across management and the wider People function including our talented HR Advisors, Talent Acquisition, Reward, and Internal Comms. We are currently looking for two additional People Business Partners to cover the following business areas: Technology and Product (corporate ) and Operations/ Sales (frontline).

What do you need to succeed?

  • You’ll have extensive experience in a similar People/ HR Business Partner role with strategic and operational reach.
  • Exceptional people, communication and influencing skills.
  • Sound HR knowledge, commerciality, and evidence of operating at strategic level.
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
