We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Commercial Finance Business Partner / Strategy Manager to support with the growth of our National Accounts segment, a key business priority for 2023 and beyond. Working closely with our Senior Managers you will be responsible for providing sound strategic consultancy to shape the future direction of this function.  You’ll be interrogating data and forming robust business plans whilst offering timely commercial insight and advice for customer and revenue growth. Location – Portsmouth, Hampshire. Hybrid working applies. 2 days working in the office, 3 days working from home.

Where do you fit in?

As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you'll work under the direction of Head of Commercial Finance and National & Regional Accounts Director. This includes collaborating with the wider Commercial Finance to identify, prospect and price opportunities by category and geographical location and benchmark against competitors. You'll be responsible for the creation and exploitation of Pay Per Lead inventory as a marketplace. Additionally you’ll provide clear ROI analysis to support customer communications whilst identifying opportunities for National and Regional growth to gain a competitive advantage in order to break new ground and promote the Checkatrade brand. You’ll be supporting National Accounts’ leadership from identification of strategic and market opportunities, through modelling and business case creation, to execution and delivery measurement. As a key part of the National Accounts leadership team your accountability will be based on the growth identified and achieved. If you have the ability to create clear and comprehensive revenue and management reports, to include sales forecasting and financial reporting, we'd love to hear from you!

 What do you need to succeed?

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with previous experience in a similar strategic consultancy / finance business partner role. Big 10 background or similar would be ideal but not essential. 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and thirst for data.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and considerable technical experience across Excel and PowerBI or similar. 
  • Excellent people skills – confident and credible with a consultative and collaborative approach that engages teams and leaders alike.
  • Experience supporting similar businesses, especially those with significant digital spend would be ideal.
